Covid 19 and No Permission to be in the State
Q. I have no permission to be in the State. If I access essential healthcare services related to COVID 19, will the Immigration authorities be informed?
- Given that information gathered by health, and other State authorities is used in the national fight against COVID-19, the Immigration Services of the Department do not require State authorities to gather or communicate information in relation to the immigration status of any person seeking access to essential healthcare services related to COVID-19. As such immigration concerns of undocumented foreign nationals should not be construed as a barrier or ‘’firewall’’ to seeking essential healthcare.
